Man Killed When Ford F-450 Veers Off Road

MILTON, DE – Delaware State Police are actively probing a tragic accident that occurred yesterday afternoon in Milton.

On December 15, 2023, at approximately 1:35 p.m., a white Ford F-450 was traveling in an eastbound direction on Milton-Ellendale Highway, just west of Gravel Hill Road. Under circumstances yet to be determined, the vehicle veered off the right side of the road and collided with a substantial tree.

The driver, a 57-year-old man from Lincoln, Delaware, and the rear passenger, a 60-year-old man from Milford, Delaware, were promptly transported to a nearby medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment for serious injuries. Tragically, the front passenger, a 47-year-old man from Bridgeville, Delaware, also received medical attention at a nearby hospital but did not survive the incident. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until his family has been notified.

Milton-Ellendale Highway was temporarily closed for approximately 3 hours as investigators thoroughly examined the scene and worked to clear the roadway.
