Fatal Hit and Run in Charlestown Under Investigation

CHARLESTOWN, MA – An incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, when a pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident in Charlestown.

Boston Police Department officers from District A-15 were dispatched to the intersection of Alford St. and Dexter St. around 3:08 AM following reports of the incident.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim who had been hit by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver responsible had fled the scene along Alford St. towards Everett before police arrived.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. They encourage anyone with information to contact them at 617-343-4470.
