Hit-and-Run Incident Under Investigation in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, NY – Schenectady Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred early this morning near Albany Street and Route 7.

At about 5:09 am, Schenectady County dispatchers received reports of an unresponsive male lying in the road. Police officers found the victim unconscious upon arrival. Initial findings indicate that the vehicle involved was heading south on Route 7 from Schenectady towards Rotterdam when the collision happened. The vehicle fled the scene following the incident.

The victim has been transported to Albany Medical Center; however, his condition remains undisclosed.

Currently, there is no description of the suspect or the vehicle. The case remains open and under thorough investigation. Schenectady Police urge anyone with information to contact their Tips Line at 518-788-6566.
