Rising Delaware River Forces Road Closures in Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – Due to rising levels of the Delaware River reaching action stage, North Delaware Avenue has been closed to traffic. Barricades have been placed, and all traffic is being detoured until further notice.

The river is forecasted to continue rising until later today. Residents of the Rivermawr neighborhood, which includes Brown St., Morgan Ave., Maple Ave., Florence Ave., Fuld St., and North Delaware Ave., are advised to use Florence Ave as the safest exit route.

The Bucks County authorities, in collaboration with Yardley Borough Emergency Management, Public Safety officials, and Public Works, are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are encouraged to stay updated by following the Yardley Borough Facebook page.

For non-emergency police concerns, the public can contact 215.493.2782, and in case of emergencies, dial 9-1-1. The authorities urge residents to exercise caution and avoid the affected area until the situation is resolved.
