Sentence Handed Down in Enola Murder Case

ENOLA, PA – On Friday, Christopher Colbert received a 22-50 year sentence in a state correctional institute for the murder of his wife, Tamara Colbert.

The sentence follows his guilty plea to Third Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, Tampering with Evidence, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

The incident dates back to December 24, 2022, when the Hampden Township Police Department was alerted to a situation at the Colbert residence. Upon arrival, police found Tamara deceased and Christopher attempting to clean the crime scene.

Investigations revealed Christopher’s extramarital affairs, alcohol addiction, and work issues. Tamara, known for her involvement with international students at the University of Miami, is remembered for her positive influence and dedication. The University has established a scholarship in her honor.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Robinson, with assistance from Victim Advocate Shelly Farmery and the Hampden Township Police Department.
