Shooting Death of a Man in the Bronx Under Investigation

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man in the Bronx.

The incident occurred early Wednesday morning in front of 3836 Carpenter Ave. in Olinville.

Responding to a 911 call about shots fired at approximately 3:40 a.m., police found the victim with a gunshot wound to his torso.

He was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the NYPD continues its investigation into the shooting.
