Newark Man Sought After Eluding Police

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Department of Public Safety is seeking public assistance to locate Elijah Robinson, also known as Jamil Robinson or “Horse”, aged 42, in relation to an eluding incident.

Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé has issued a request for help in connection with the incident that occurred on October 11, 2023. Robinson allegedly used a 2017 white Cadillac sedan, with New Jersey Registration 47YRLE, to elude police at Maybaum Avenue and South Orange Avenue.

The department did not say what triggered the initial interaction between officers and the subject.

Robinson is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. Director Fragé encourages anyone with information about Elijah Robinson’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
