Richmond Police Engage Community in Festive Neighborhood Walkthrough

RICHMOND, VA – The Richmond Police Department, led by 313 Lieutenant Marsh, Chief Edwards, and precinct officers, conducted a colorful and festive Command Staff Walkthrough in a Fan neighborhood this week. The event, adorned with holiday decorations, was part of the department’s ongoing effort to connect with residents and address community concerns.

During the walkthrough, the police were joined by partners from the Department of Communications and the Richmond Ambulance Authority. Together, they distributed flyers with tips to prevent motor vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles. This initiative is part of a broader community engagement strategy aimed at improving neighborhood safety.

The officers and their partners engaged in conversations with local residents, gathering their concerns and suggestions. The walkthrough reflects the department’s commitment to fostering a close-knit community and addressing issues that matter to the residents.
