Car With Toddler on Board Victim of Gunfire During I-495 Road Rage Incident

WILMINGTON, DE – In a concerning road rage incident on Interstate 495, Delaware State Police are conducting an in-depth investigation following a shooting reported early this morning.

The incident, which took place on December 28 at around 9:19 a.m., occurred on I-495 northbound, just south of Philadelphia Pike. According to reports, a red Honda Accord was subjected to gunfire from an unidentified individual in a burgundy passenger vehicle.

The Honda, which had a 32-year-old man and a 2-month-old baby on board, managed to pull over to the highway’s shoulder unharmed. The assailant’s vehicle reportedly continued heading north on I-495 after the shooting.
