Family of Four Found Shot Dead Inside Their New York Home

NEW CITY, NY – Early Saturday morning, Clarkstown Police Department officers responded to a welfare check at 10 Clydesdale Ct. in New City. Upon entry to the residence, they discovered four deceased individuals, all members of the Morgan family.

The deceased are identified as Watson Morgan, 49, his wife Ornela Morgan, 43, and their two sons, aged 10 and 12. Each individual suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watson Morgan was a sergeant with the Bronxville (NY) Police Department. The preliminary investigation suggests that Watson Morgan killed his wife and children before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A handgun was found at the scene.

Authorities have indicated that this is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation continues, and further details will be released as they become available.
