Police Investigating Fatal Shooting of D.C. Man in Bowie

BOWIE, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting in the unincorporated area of Bowie. The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Timothy Jones of Washington, D.C. In an effort to advance the investigation, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.

The incident occurred at around 3:05 pm on December 28 in the 900 block of Saint Michaels Drive. Responding officers found Jones in a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are currently focused on uncovering the motive behind the shooting and identifying any suspects involved.

The Prince George’s County Police are urging anyone with information about this case to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more details become available.
