Police Find Drugs on Woman Arrested for Assault

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Saturday, December 30, at 8:40 PM, Cumberland Police Department officers responded to an assault report on the first block of E. Elder Street. The victim reported the assault took place at a residence in the 900 block of Virginia Avenue.

The victim identified Kaitlyn Bucklin as the assailant, alleging Bucklin slapped her face and scratched her legs. Officers observed injuries on the victim consistent with these claims. Police located Bucklin at the Virginia Avenue residence and arrested her.

During the booking process at the Allegany County Detention Center, officers discovered Bucklin in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, which was confiscated. Following a hearing with a District Court Commissioner, Bucklin was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
