Atlantic City Police Arrest Man for Hostage Situation and Assault

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has apprehended Justin Williams following a hostage situation involving two women. Williams was arrested for holding the women against their will, assaulting them, and robbing them.

The incident occurred on December 31, 2023, at 9:12 AM, at a residence in the first block of North Georgia Avenue. Police were alerted to the situation when one of the victims managed to escape and inform authorities. Upon arrival, officers found the second victim still inside with Williams. A perimeter was established, leading to Williams’ surrender and subsequent arrest.

The investigation revealed that Williams had threatened to kill both women while armed with a large knife. He physically assaulted them and attempted to throw one of the victims out of a window. Property belonging to the victims was also stolen during the ordeal. One victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of her injuries, while the other declined medical attention.

The knife used in the assault was recovered by the police.
