High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest of Ellicottville Man

MCKEAN COUNTY, PA – The McKean County District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reported the arrest of Patrick Fuhr from Ellicottville, NY, after a high-speed chase.

Fuhr is accused of ramming his vehicle into a Pennsylvania State Police vehicle and fleeing, leading to a cross-state pursuit.

Early on Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police attempted to stop Fuhr’s vehicle. Fuhr accelerated, refusing to halt and subsequently struck a police cruiser in Bradford, PA.

The chase continued at speeds reaching approximately 120 mph, extending into New York. Fuhr was eventually apprehended after Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department deployed spike strips, disabling his vehicle.

Patrick Fuhr faces multiple charges including Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest. The arrest was executed by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department, and Fuhr is currently held on these charges. An arrest warrant was also issued by Magisterial District Judge Richard Luther.
