Carjacking Suspect Arrested After Chase and Crash in Volusia County

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL — This afternoon, Volusia Sheriff’s deputies assisted the Ormond Beach Police Department following a carjacking at a gas station located at 1520 N. U.S. 1.

The suspect commandeered the victim’s vehicle and later crashed near the intersection of I-95 and Old Dixie Highway. Following the crash, the suspect attempted to flee on foot into nearby woods but was quickly apprehended by VSO K-9 units.
