Do You Know Them? Newark Police Seeking Violent Home Invasion Suspects

NEWARK, NJ — Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé has called for public assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a home invasion robbery that occurred on January 1.

The incident took place around 3:15 p.m. at a residence on Boston Street near South Orange Avenue. Responding to a home invasion report, Newark Police learned that a male resident, upon answering a knock at his door, was confronted by a Hispanic male and a Black female.

The female assailant used pepper spray on the victim before they both entered the residence. The suspects stole the victim’s wallet, which contained two credit cards, a driver’s license, and $20 in cash. Following the robbery, both suspects were seen fleeing westbound on South Orange Avenue.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspects, as depicted in the provided images, to come forward to assist in the investigation.
