Fugitive Wanted for Killing Grandmother and 1-Year-Old Child Armed and Dangerous in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — The Allentown Police Department is searching for Gabriel Cartagena, 43, in connection with the shooting deaths of a 1-year-old child and a grandmother.

District Attorney Gavin Holihan announced charges against Cartagena, including two counts each of criminal homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and one count each of burglary, illegal possession of firearms, and carrying a firearm without a license.

As of Thursday afternoon, Cartagena remains at large. Authorities warn he may still be in the area and should be considered armed and dangerous.
