Newark Police Seeking MLK Boulevard Shooter

NEWARK, NJ — Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests public aid in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting on Tuesday, November 14.

The incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. at the 700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Police, responding to a report of gunfire, found three spent shell casings but no victim.

Surveillance footage showed a male firing a handgun at another male, who fled west on Spruce Street. The shooter escaped north on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward. The suspect wore a black mask, blue jeans, a black jacket, and white sneakers.
