Pet Caretakers Stole $100,000 in Jewelry from Client

EVESHAM, NJ — On December 15, Evesham Police responded to a burglary report in the 30 block of Old Republic Lane, involving the theft of jewelry worth approximately $100,000.

The homeowner reported the theft occurred while they were away. The Evesham P.D. Investigative Bureau processed the scene and identified two suspects, Catherine Walton, and Nicholas Eye, who were hired as pet caretakers during the homeowner’s absence.

Walton has been arrested and charged with theft, while Eye, facing charges of theft and receiving stolen property, remains at large. Walton is currently held at Burlington County Correctional Facility awaiting her court appearance.

Authorities have issued a warrant for Eye’s arrest.
