Arrest Made in Alexandria McDonald’s Shooting

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Police Department has apprehended 20-year-old Michael Anthony Carr, Jr. of Alexandria, in relation to a shooting at McDonald’s on 5311 Duke Street.

The incident, which took place on December 27, resulted in Carr being charged with robbery, malicious wounding, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The event unfolded at the McDonald’s location, initially reported as a fight between two known parties.

It escalated when Carr allegedly shot another man, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported for medical assistance.

This case is still under active investigation by the Alexandria Police Department.
