Barricaded Suspect Fires Gun at Cops During Warrant Standoff

COLUMBIA, PA – On Friday, Columbia Borough Police Officers and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department executed a warrant detail on the 300 block of Cherry St.

The target, Charles Harris, attempted evasion before barricading himself and firing at officers and a Police K-9. No injuries were reported.

The Lancaster County Special Emergency Response Team successfully negotiated Harris’s surrender.

Pending further investigation, charges related to this incident will be determined.

The cooperation of multiple agencies ensured the safety and security of the surrounding area during the operation.
