Frederick Police Issue Weather Warning Ahead of Possible Snowfall

FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick Police Department has issued a weather alert in anticipation of incoming snow. Salt and plow crews are on standby to manage road conditions.

Residents are encouraged to use the snow app available at frederickmd.gov/snowapp for real-time updates on road status. In preparation for the snow emergency, parking on Snow Emergency Routes will be strictly prohibited starting two hours after the official declaration of a Snow Emergency. Vehicles must be removed from these routes within two hours of the declaration to facilitate snow clearing operations.

The Police Department urges residents to stay informed by monitoring City and Police social media channels and to sign up for alerts at cityoffrederickmd.gov/alerts. These channels will provide operational updates as the situation evolves.
