CLINTON, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal collision involving two vehicles that occurred last Friday. The incident claimed the life of 15-year-old Shaun Shelton from Accokeek.

The collision, involving a minivan and a pickup truck, happened near Piscataway Road and King Gallahan Court at around 12:30 pm on Friday.

Shelton, who was operating the minivan, was pronounced dead at the scene. A teenage passenger in the minivan sustained serious injuries and received hospital treatment, while the pickup truck driver was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Initial findings indicate Shelton was driving a Kia Sedona minivan, reported stolen earlier that day, in the wrong direction before colliding with the pickup truck.

The police are asking anyone with information to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422 or through various available channels.
