Arrest Made in Deadly Shooting in Butler Township

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, OH – A man was fatally shot at 3021 Creekview Circle in Butler Township.

Butler Township Police and Fire crews responded to the scene at 6:45 PM after reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim’s identity is withheld pending family notification.

A suspect was apprehended at the scene and is currently detained at the Montgomery County Jail. The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing potential criminal charges.

The incident, which remains under active investigation, drew significant attention, with the coroner arriving on scene by 2:00 PM and a noticeable police presence reported at 1:30 PM.
