Atlantic City Police Apprehend Burglary Suspect with Handgun and Drugs

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Julian Hinton, 31, from Union, NJ, was arrested by the Atlantic City Police Department on charges related to a recent burglary.

The arrest occurred on last Thursday, when Officer Julian Monsalve encountered Hinton, who matched the description of a suspect involved in a vehicle burglary on the previous night.

Hinton resisted arrest, attempting to flee and reach for a handgun concealed in his waistband area.

He was apprehended after failing to scale a chain-link fence. The loaded handgun was recovered, along with five grams of cocaine. Hinton initially provided a false name to the officers.

The related vehicle burglary happened on January 3, where Hinton stole a purse from an unattended vehicle. He faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, drug offenses, burglary, and theft.
