Bronx Man Arrested for December Murder on Carpenter Avenue

BRONX, NY – On January 10, at 12:00 p.m., 22-year-old Daniel Santos was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

This arrest is linked to an incident that occurred on December 20, 2023. At approximately 3:39 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at 3836 Carpenter Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 34-year-old Hector David with a gunshot wound to the left side of his torso. David was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The identification of the deceased as Hector David, a Bronx man, was confirmed recently. The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
