Man Stabbed in Liberty Avenue Assault, Suspect Sought

NEW YORK CITY, NY – In a violent encounter on Thursday, January 4, a 24-year-old male was attacked on Liberty Avenue.

According to the New York City Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 am in front of 1095 Liberty Avenue. The victim was approached by an unidentified individual who stabbed him multiple times in both arms with a sharp object.

The assailant attempted to rob the victim but was unsuccessful and fled eastbound on Liberty Avenue. The victim received medical attention at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old male, about 5’10” tall, with a medium complexion and build. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a gray shirt, a blue hooded sweatshirt, white and black sneakers, and a black jacket.

The New York City Police Department asks anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
