ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – Allegheny County Police arrested corrections officer William Kemp III for allegedly bringing illegal narcotics into the Allegheny County Jail. The arrest followed a December 30 investigation initiated after suspicions arose about Kemp’s activities. Approximately one ounce of marijuana was found in Kemp’s locker. Further investigation revealed 23 pages soaked in synthetic cannabinoids hidden in an employee bathroom, later linked to Kemp through surveillance footage. The 34-year-old officer is accused of intending to distribute these narcotics to inmates.
Kemp faces two counts of contraband, possession, and possession with intent to deliver. He was arraigned on Thursday morning and is being held on $10,000 cash bail.
