Teen Shot in Rochester, Investigation Ongoing

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 19-year-old Rochester man sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds on Tuesday evening.

The Rochester Police Department is actively investigating the shooting, which occurred near Jefferson Avenue and Cottage Streets.

The victim arrived at Strong Hospital just after 4 p.m. via private vehicle. After initial medical treatment and conversations with the victim, it was established that he was shot at least once in the upper body.

Despite searching the indicated area, officers were unable to locate a crime scene.

The Rochester Police Department asks anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
