Two Teens Shot on 153rd Street Expected to Recover

NYPD crime scene investigative unit.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A shooting occurred in front of 87-80 153rd Street on Monday, at approximately 2:30 p.m., resulting in injuries to two 16-year-old males.

The New York City Police Department reports that an unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking one victim in the shoulder and the other in the foot.

Both victims were transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains unidentified.

The NYPD has released media of the suspect and is asking for public assistance in ascertaining their whereabouts. Tips can be reported to the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline or submitted online through the CrimeStoppers.
