Fugitive Wanted for August Murder Arrested

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Police Department has made a significant breakthrough in a murder case from August 2023.

Anthony Blakely was arrested by SWAT personnel on Tuesday, for his involvement in the murder of Alejandro Fajardo-Torres. The incident occurred on August 24, 2023, in the 8300 block of Sancus Blvd.

Responding to a reported shooting, officers found Fajardo-Torres with gunshot wounds, later pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, suffering from blunt-force trauma, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Earlier arrests were made on October 4, 2023, apprehending Zackeyis Davis and Darius Wynn for their involvement in the case.

The Columbus Police Department asks anyone with information to contact Detective Brandt or the Homicide Unit.
