Syracuse Teen Arrested for Possession of Ghost Gun and Drugs

SYRACUSE, NY – A 16-year-old has been apprehended for carrying a ‘ghost gun’ and substantial amounts of illegal narcotics.

On Monday, at approximately 4 p.m., Officer Mulroy, on routine patrol, encountered two individuals off the sidewalk on Barrett Street. When approached, one complied while the other, a teenager, resisted. A struggle ensued, leading to the teen’s arrest with assistance from additional officers.

Upon searching, officers found a Polymer 80 ‘ghost gun’ with a 27-round magazine, loaded with ammunition, concealed in the teen’s waistband. They also seized 11.9 grams of Fentanyl, prepared for sale, and a quantity of cocaine. The amount of Fentanyl was equivalent to 304 doses.

The teenager was taken to the Youth Division of the Public Safety Building, where he faces multiple felony charges, including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

Additionally, he received a citation for failing to use the sidewalk.
