Woman Chosen to Lead Jackson Planning Board in New Year

JACKSON, NJ – The Jackson Township Planning has named a woman to lead the board in 2024, naming former educator Michelle Campbell as the chairwoman.   The vote by the board was historic in that Campbell became the first woman to lead the board in recent history.

Campbell will replace former Jackson Township School Board Member Tzvi Herman, who served as board president in 2023.  Each year, the board votes on the position.

The Jackson Planning Board is the board that hears applications from prospective builders and homeowners seeking to add additions to their homes and significant improvements.  Applications heard before the planning board typically conform to the town’s zoning ordinances.

Matters that do not fit within the existing ordinances are heard before the township zoning board.
