Columbus Shooting Leaves Woman Hospitalized, Suspect in Custody

COLUMBUS, OH — A shooting incident on Saturday morning in Columbus has resulted in a woman being hospitalized and a man arrested.

 Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of North 4th Street just before 11 a.m.

The female victim, found with a neck injury, was rushed to OSU Main Hospital in serious condition.

Detectives at the scene indicated that the victim had been arguing with her boyfriend, who subsequently shot her in the neck.

The suspect was apprehended by the police, who also recovered a handgun. He has been charged with felonious assault in connection with the shooting.
