Woman Killed in Deadly Valley Forge National Park Crash

UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – In the early hours of Saturday, a vehicle accident occurred in Valley Forge National Park, resulting in two fatalities.

Upper Merion Township Police, Fire, and EMS units were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Valley Forge Park Road (Route 23) and County Line Road at 1:14 AM.

A Toyota sedan, traveling eastbound, veered off the road and struck a tree. The front seat passenger, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 3-year-old child, also in the car, suffered severe trauma and later died at Children’s Hospital in King of Prussia. The driver, an adult male, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Paoli Hospital.

The Upper Merion Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, along with the Montgomery County Detective Bureau Forensic Services Unit, is investigating the accident. The names of the deceased have not been released.
