Deer Rescued from Ice by New Hampshire Emergency Services

PELHAM, NH – A joint effort by police and firefighters in Pelham, New Hampshire, led to the successful rescue of a deer stranded on the ice of Harris Pond. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, prompting an emergency response.

The Pelham Police Department, upon receiving reports of the deer’s precarious situation, sought assistance from the Pelham Fire Department. A Facebook post by the police department detailed the collaborative rescue operation.

Rescuers employed an inflatable raft to navigate the icy surface and chilly waters of the pond. Photos captured at the scene illustrate the team’s effort to reach the deer.

The police department’s post concluded with a positive note, stating that after a brief period, they were able to safely free the deer and escort it to shore. This successful rescue highlights the effective teamwork between local police and fire services in responding to wildlife emergencies.
