Two Dead, Six Shot in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Philadelphia’s Strawberry Mansion neighborhood was the scene of a mass shooting early Sunday.

Philadelphia Police Department Captain Christopher Bradshaw reported that the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on the 2400 block of N. Myrtlewood Street.

Responding officers found three men with gunshot wounds. A 53-year-old man shot in the head was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 41-year-old man shot in the chest and thigh died shortly after being taken to a hospital.

A 42-year-old man was shot in the hand and is in stable condition.

Three additional victims, a 22-year-old female, a 28-year-old male, and a 33-year-old female, arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds believed to be connected to the incident.
