Uber Driver Shot and Robbed in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – An incident recently unfolded in Suitland where an Uber driver was assaulted and robbed.

The incident occurred at the 5600 block of Regency Park Court.

According to the report, the driver was shot in the leg and pistol-whipped by a rider who then fled with the driver’s belongings.

The suspect, described as a black male approximately 5’6″ tall, wearing a black ski mask and armed with a handgun, was last seen heading towards Regency Parkway.

The trip had originated in Hyattsville. Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the case and seeking any information related to the suspect.
