US Senator Grassley released from hospital, expects to return to work next week

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, the most senior member of the Senate, has been discharged from hospital and expects to be back to work next week, his office said in a statement on Thursday.

On Tuesday, his office said Grassley, 90, was receiving antibiotic infusions at the hospital to treat an infection. Grassley, of Iowa, won his first election to the Senate in 1980.
