The East Brunswick Police Department has issued a reminder to property owners regarding their responsibility to clear snow or ice from sidewalks. This directive emphasizes that the Township of East Brunswick will not undertake snow or ice removal on sidewalks in front of residential or commercial properties.

The police department highlights the significance of keeping sidewalks clear, especially for the safety and convenience of individuals using wheelchairs, children in strollers, students traveling to school, and those with mobility-assistance devices.

Additionally, the department warns that uncleared snow can signal to burglars and thieves that a property is unoccupied, potentially making it a target. Property owners are urged to clear snow promptly to enhance community safety and accessibility.
