Infant Tragically Dies from Burns in Brooklyn Apartment

In a heartbreaking incident, an 11-month-old boy was found deceased in a Brooklyn apartment, following a 911 call early Friday morning, January 19. Police responded to the call at approximately 6:03 AM at 890 East 14th Street, located in the 70th Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the young boy unconscious and unresponsive in a bedroom. The infant had suffered burns, apparently caused by a steam leak from a heating furnace in the residence. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) promptly transported him to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Currently, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The NYPD is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending proper notification of the family. The NYPD is expected to provide further details as the investigation progresses.
