Armed Carjacking at Glen Burnie Walmart

GLEN BURNIE, MD – On the evening of Thursday, a carjacking incident occurred at the Walmart located at 6721 Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie.

At around 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene following a report of an armed carjacking.

The victim, an adult female, was approached by the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Brian Keith Whittington of Baltimore, Maryland, who requested a ride.

After she declined, Whittington brandished a hunting knife and proceeded to steal her vehicle.

The officers located the vehicle soon after and initiated a pursuit when Whittington attempted to flee. The chase ended when the vehicle became disabled, allowing officers to take Whittington into custody. He was charged for his involvement in the incident.
