Brooklyn, NY – A 36-year-old man was fatally shot in Brooklyn on Monday. The incident occurred around 10:25 a.m. near Ralph Avenue and Sutter Avenue, within the 73rd Precinct’s jurisdiction.
Responding to a 911 call, police officers found the man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Identified as Francis Desmond, a resident of 703 Howard Avenue, he was transported to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center by emergency medical services.
Desmond was pronounced dead at the hospital. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The NYPD continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
