NYPD Sergeant Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Manslaughter

NEW YORK — Erik Duran, a 36-year-old New York City Police Department Sergeant, was arrested on Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM within the 44th Precinct. Duran, an off-duty officer at the time of the incident, now faces several serious charges.

Duran has been charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and assault. The arrest follows an undisclosed incident that led authorities to take immediate action against the sergeant.

The NYPD has not released further details about the circumstances surrounding Duran’s arrest.
