Virginia Beach Police Apprehend Suspect in Parlays 2 Club Shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) announced the arrest of Derrius Williams, 30, of Norfolk, in connection with a shooting incident at Parlays 2, a local club. The incident, which occurred on December 31, resulted from a physical altercation inside the club located on Princess Anne Road.

Emergency services received reports of shots fired at Parlay 2 at 1:06 AM. Upon arrival, VBPD officers did not find any victims at the scene. However, a male gunshot victim later presented himself at a nearby hospital, where he received treatment and was discharged.

The VBPD Detective Bureau identified Williams as the suspect after a comprehensive investigation. He was apprehended on January 19 by the VBPD Warrant Fugitive Unit. Williams faces charges including Malicious Wounding, Discharging a Firearm Inside a Building, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
