Forks Township Police Seek Suspect in Weis Markets Theft

EASTON, PA – Forks Township Police are on the lookout for Sebastian Echavarria-Alvarez following a theft incident at Weis Markets on Sullivan Trail.

The incident occurred on August 29, 2023, where the suspect allegedly fled with merchandise valued at $677.72.

Loss Prevention associates at Weis Markets reported the suspect leaving the store with unpaid goods.

Echavarria-Alvarez evaded capture by fleeing on foot, abandoning the merchandise. Forks Township police detectives, utilizing facial recognition technology and license plate analysis, positively identified the suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued on Monday, for Retail Theft. The public is asked to provide any information regarding Echavarria-Alvarez’s whereabouts through CRIMEWATCH or by contacting Officer Kosciuk.
