Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Minor

ERIE COUNTY, NY – James Q. Carollo, 28, of Crosby, Texas, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment followed by 20 years of post-release supervision by State Supreme Court Justice Deborah A. Haendiges.

Carollo, who will register as a sex offender upon release, forcibly engaged in sexual acts with a child under 14 years old between July and September 2020 in Orchard Park.

Arrested in July 2023 in Houston, Texas, Carollo was extradited to Western New York after waiving extradition.

On December 13, 2023, he pleaded guilty to first-degree rape, the highest count in his indictment.

Additionally, a protection order until August 2063 was issued for the victim and their mother.
