PHILADELPHIA, PA – A road rage incident escalated into a violent confrontation, leaving a 19-year-old man critically wounded.

The altercation occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia, specifically at the 3600 block of North G Street around 2:34 p.m.

Philadelphia Police reported that the conflict involved the young driver of a Honda and a 38-year-old man driving a gray Ford. During the dispute, the Honda driver allegedly brandished a firearm at the Ford driver, who responded by drawing his own weapon and firing multiple shots. The Honda driver sustained injuries to his head, chest, arm, and back.

Despite his injuries, the young man managed to drive to the Kensington section, where he was later discovered on E. Westmoreland Street. A relative later transported him to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition but is expected to survive.

A firearm was retrieved from the Honda, according to police reports. The Ford driver, who was unharmed, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
