Shooting in Moxahala Self Inflicted Police Report

MOXAHALA, OH — Sheriff William Barker expressed sorrow over a Wednesday morning incident involving a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

At approximately 7:25 am, the Perry County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Township Road 201 in Crooksville.

The male, who had attempted suicide, was not at the residence upon their arrival.

He had mentioned a school in his conversation, leading to heightened security measures in local schools.

At around 9:30 am, deputies found the individual deceased on Township Road 395 in Moxahala. Sheriff Barker extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
