Toledo Police Investigate Shooting on Fitchland Avenue

TOLEDO, OH – A shooting incident in central Toledo has prompted an active investigation by the Toledo Police Department.

The incident occurred on the 1300 block of Fitchland Avenue, between Detroit and Smead Avenue, at approximately 10:48 p.m.

Officers, upon arrival, found a 40-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was promptly transported to the hospital by Toledo Fire & Rescue and is reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Currently, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting. The Toledo Police Department is asking to the public for any information related to this incident.
